Day Two - Happy Days with Disney

Day Two of our stay in Hong Kong, we visited the happiest place on earth - and guess where the place is? It's DISNEYLAND - the highlight of our learning journey to Hong Kong which began the day after we arrived in Hong Kong.  No words could describe how eager and excited we were that many of us could not sleep the day before while some of us woke much much earlier before the morning call.
Upon arriving at Disneyland, there was a great anticipation in the air that some of us were jumping in excitement. Everyone was in high spirit especially Mdm Rohana who left us flabbergasted when she was the first one to jump down the bus leaving us all behind. much to everyone's amusement.

Before we had the opportunity to go on the rides, we had to participate in the YES programme (Youth Education Series on Global Perspectives: An Adventures in Liberal Studies). The objective of this programme was to teach us how to be good global citizens. We learn to how to accept other people's point of views and perceptions and other culture.

It was not all play and no work. Our YES volunteer allowed us to play and learn which helped us to broaden our perspectives as we explored the challenges faced by us as global citizens.

We learned to think creatively and to realise that we are part of a global community facing similar challenges.

It's a small world after all - the YES programme taught us how to be good global citizens.
Finally, we had a chance to take the rides. Autopia, Cinderella Carousel, Space Mountain - which rides should we take?? We were spoilt for choice. After much debate, we decided to go to the Orbitron, located in the Tomorrowland section of Disneyland. Rides which were associated with future technology were all located in Tomorrowland. At the Oribitron ,we were flying our own flying saucer high above Tomorrowland. Though it was not that exciting, it finally dawned on us that we were really, really in DISNEYLAND!!
